Why do you suppose that private corporations automatically do better than government? Their track record isn’t exactly fantastic, either (see Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle”, and tell me that corporations have your best interests at heart). Why do you automatically assume that “government” is completely dysfunctional? Medicare, Medicaid, the police dept, the fire dept, broadcast? highways, the US military, and much more, would disagree.

Who’s proposing forced collectivazation? All we’re adage is that their should be a broadcast OPTION to compete with private insurance. Are you adage that competition is BAD? That’s certainly a new one. If government insurance is worse than private insurance, then you can stay with private insurance. If the broadcast plot does BETTER? than private insurance, wouldn’t YOU be the one to benefit? What do you have to lose?

cellardoor31: I still believe that I can choose what’s best for me and my family better than any government institution. Federal government should provide safeguard for the citizens of this country and defend this country’s borders; that’s about it. Let the states make their own rules, for healthcare, for whatever. That way, people can vote with their feet and go if they don’t like the laws in the state where? they live. Unfortunately, we are way too far past that point at this time.

They don’t provide a service. Doctor’s provide a service, and I reckon its fantastic if doctors and nurses make cash? from it. Insurers are the middleman and it really works fine if we cut them out. It’s already been done.

the productivity of everything would go down because with no profit there is less of an incentive to do well, as it states in the video some of the insurance cash goes to the CEO’s and employees he thinks this is incorrect, i would disagree because if they didn’t have profit they wouldn’t want to provide a excellent service, model would you start a business get it to go as huge as microsoft and not keep some of the profits? if it meant you had to struggle for years to get it to the? top?

Fire/police/water=local taxes. They can get Federal help, but the local community supports the majority.Under proposed shape care it’s Federal. So the structure is not the same, it’s not an apples to apples comparison. The model of Medicare is much better model, and why national run , socialized shape care is a dud.Because, USPS, Medicare/aide, SS, are financial failures, estimated up to $100 TRILLION in the red. What insurance company is a $100 TRILLION in? debt?

At least those who want to restore our government policies to those of 1809 are a small small underground no matter how much corporate cash whips them into screaming at town halls.?

first, socialism as defined would be my preferred form of government as long as the ‘management’ was truly caring, logical and honest(possible). next, income taxes? from our checks ONLY go to pay the interest on the cash congress BORROWS from the private bank/fed. none of us should have to pay that fee in life.but, as far as i can tell, you are completely right, PROFIT is the problem.. not just with shape care. as a people we’re experiencing cognitive dissonance in so many ways it’s surreal.
