They have no thoughts. If they did, they would have done something when they had the house, the council, and the Presidency for 6 years at the beginning of the Bush era.
Republicans talk a lot, but get very small done. That’s why they’re so upset that Obama is moving quickly.

You mean like a market-based system?
You mean like the one we already have?
Why do you reckon that just because idiots in the democrat have fun come up with a hair-brained thought that it’s up to someone else to come up with something better?
Usually, the best option for republicans is to IGNORE the brain-dead democrats. Nothing they do ever works.

  3. Liberal AssKicker says:

The liberals like Pelosi have made it very clear that they won’t even let a bill from republicans get to the agenda of the congress, so we wouldn’t know if they have or not ! If they start telling us they have one congress and Obama will instantly start denying that it exists , and make sure it never see daylight !

Well all I have to say is…the GOP had their turn to lead for 8 years..they bullied there way through them leaving this country in total chaos..and a few others I might add…now its time for democratic leadership to stand up and do what we place them in personnel for…bully through it..pass shape care reform!

  5. OLO says:

They don’t have any thoughts and they are in league with those who support the status quo, i.e., the insurance companies who spew their propaganda through their shills, Limbaugh and O’Reily and people hired to disrupt town hall meetings and quash honest debate.

  6. Dr. Nightcall says:

Because the GOP is the have fun of despise and as long as they have an object to focus their hatred towards, they are pleased. As for resolving issues, they are the issue.

  7. MoPleasu says:

Because Dems don’t want or need participation, They know everything and would rather attack, attack, and attack. Oh and hire thugs to beat people up.

  8. u_wish_i says:

    No point to it since
    1. the dems have total hegemony
    2. the dems will not take note
    3. The dems would just say they are worse anyway and continue their dictatorial drive to ruin America

  9. Better & smarter than Obama says:

the repubs don’t reckon healthcare needs to be reformed. Obama just pulled it out of his holeass. but neither of our opinions are any mor valid.

  10. Dr Funkenstein says:

The amusing thing is that there have been thoughts offered, but quickly dismissed.
Rush came out and said that if there are only 47 million people (of which many of them choose NOT to have shape insuranace and another quarter of that group are illegal aliens), then why didn’t Obama just take some of the stimulus cash and provide them with financial coverage for shape care instead of going after the entire system? A fraction of the stimulus cash would have easily supplied the shape benefits for those not currently covered without tampering with the coverage of those who have shape insurance.
Also, as a way to show the American broadcast that this plot is not a excellent thought, he proposed an amendment where any congressman who votes in favor of this “reform” would have to be immediately placed under its operation. Harry Reid quickly had that amendment stricken from the bill. And for those who reckon that the federal government is under a government shape plot, that is sorely not the case. Federal employees, such as the President and Congress, are covered under the Federal Employee Shape Benefits Plot. The FEHBP is really a set of shape insurance plans offered through each of the states under privatized insurance companies, not through the government itself.
McCain had proposed the thought of removing state limitations for shape insurance so that people could go to other states and receive the same coverage as they would from their home state. In fact, that was part of his campaign. Meanwhile, Obama stated that McCain wanted to tax and payment shape benefits for employees and yet Obama is the one who has proposed such an option be place into the reform bill. Also, several republicans, including those aforementioned, have proposed limitations on malpracitce lawsuit awards and tort reform, which would have a direct positive impact on shape care provisions and allow hospitals to lower costs applied to uncomplaining bills. Notice that the democrats have completely ignored that option in order to provide cost-effective measures for shape care reform.
The largest reason though why there has not an active alternate option for shape care reform lies in the fact that the democrats have pretty much cut out the republicans from the entire process of writing the shape insurance reform bill. Republicans are pretty much in the fight back mode which is more reactionary than proactionary for their cause. Still, a few Republicans have proposed alternate options, but between the stifling democrat majority and the mainstream media keeping any focus away from the republicans, you will see very small if any coverage for alternate options from republican politicians.
As for the comment about the insurance and drug companies, you should remember that several representatives from both industries were really supporting Obama’s reform initiative at the beginning. But, it was when details regarding how both industries would literally suffer huge cuts in both support and profits that their support for this plot of reform was diminished.
One other point that needs to be made. Obama states that there are people who can’t get the medical care they need because of the lack of shape insurance. Guess what? Nowadays, it is illegal for a hospital to refuse help to a self. In other words, someone can walk into the ER, get the help they need, and walk out. In the meantime, that same self can ignore bills and reneg on payments, yet can restore to that same ER and receive more medical attention. Hospitals have to write off hundred of thousands of dollars in bills due to delinquent and neglegent payers, which results in higher costs at hospitals and clinics in order to maintain standard operational practices. Right now, I am working in the medical billing field and am seeing numerous accounts where patients are outright avoiding any payments and yet have numerous visits still being made for medical help.
I mentioned cost-effective before. So far, Obama and the democrat-led Congress are anything but that with the bills they’ve passed and/or endorsed.

There are many republicans wondering why our voted officials are not taking greater advantage of this situation- it is clear that most Americans oppose Obama Care as its been dubbed but the GOP needs to step it up now and say here are the things we reckon we need to address- Tort reform is vital- fact in many countries with state care you don’t get to sue and awards are very low compared to here. We need to look at how to address issues surrounding pre-existing condition- this is for people who cannot get coverage or cannot afford the premiums do to it- maybe they can get a version of medicaid or a hybrid where they have private insurance but medicaid pays for the afformentioned pre-existing condition… How do you get the millions who are already eligible for medicare or medicaid to go and sign up- clearly they don’t know or don’t want to- how do we fix that… How do you get the millions who make more than $75k/yr but CHOOSE not to buy coverage to go ahead and make that buy? Maybe have something that requires coverage at least for foremost medical??? There are a few things to look at but this plot isn’t the right one

  12. vtjames7 says:

because like the democrats.they lack the sack to do what is right.why not stop all foreign aide and give everyone what the government plot is.sounds simple to me.and it wont raise anyones taxes.we should get a tax break then right?
