I just graduated and I will have travel health insurance (for a extended trip celebrating graduation) until September 16th and my health insurance from my new job will start on Septemeber 21st. Everything online for health insurance keeps giving me monthly rates — is there a way I can just buy 1 week’s worth of insurance?

(I live in Massachsuetts, so while I would normally go uninsured for 5 days, I hear it might cause me huge tax issues under the new mandatory health insurance laws)

I’m an hourly at will employee in the state of California. I want to know if my employer can demand I use my PTO benefit rather then just accept no pay.

I want to know if it’s my legal right to accumulate and save my PTO in the event of an emergency. As an hourly employee a week of no pay could financially devastate me. Is it legal to not allow me to save my PTO and just accept no pay when I have to go to the dentist or the dr?

As it is my PTO is being whittled away by routine preventative health maintenance. As an hourly full time employee, shouldn’t I have the choice to take no pay or use PTO to cover a Dr’s appointment, 1-2 days of sickness etc?

I was on a web site that offers a health news magazine that you buy in bulk. This magazine covers different things each month/week and on the front page of the web site one of the previous articles was on mangosteen juice maybe xango. The site also mentioned that these publications are good advertising material for people to use as marketing tools. The volume options were 50 or 100 I think. I would like the web address please.
